i've been looking into the 3930k 6core, but its about 300-400$ more for the processor + mobo together -_-'

Are games even utilizing more than 4 cores these days? Haven't really researched it.

its generally just marginal improvements in gaming, but more speed for things like video editing and compressing and shit. Not sure its worth all that money.

I think I'd get a 4770k seems to run faster than the 3770k in most things for pretty much the exact same price.

FML… i got the new video card and then my computer just shutdown after a couple of minutes….

My best guess atm is a faulty psu that is collapsing under the stress of the new card.

The odd thing is that even after i got one of the old card back, it continued to do the same problem. So it could be a grounding issue as well. I hate hardware Troubleshooting.

I guess it's better to find out about it now rather than later.

For some reason after trying to make it work, out of nowhere things got stable again.

Edit: Yeah its either the PSU or my Harddrive that is messing the system up. Im inclined to PSU since it could be the power consumption on the harddrive that is passing the threshold.

Corretion. Things got stable-ish.

Again started to restart out of nowhere. Already ordered a new PSU so hopefully everything will be ok soon.
