So this is the computer CJ recommended me to build…you have any suggestions? I am definitely building a computer this time now that I have no desktop…

That looks like a good setup there. If you want something a bit cheaper I can see some areas you can cut a few corners and still have similar gaming performance. I'll look at some stuff after I get off work if you want.

I am hoping this is not too late…but:

An i7 provides little, if no benefit in gaming. You can save some money by bypassing any i7's, unless you use your machine to also do 3D modeling/rendering and such.

Great case choice!

Great GPU choice!

You could get a cheaper motherboard with better overclocking abilities, at no loss in build quality. (Asrock Extreme4 Z77)

Your PSU isn't that great, plus overkill for a single GTX 570 (even more than needed for GTX 570 SLI enabled). I'd go for this instead, were given the choice:

It is still overkill, but an awesome quality PSU.

That is a great monitor choice! I myself will be getting the 23' version!

You could do better for a HDD. a 6gb/s sata III connection would net you better speeds, and they are in the relative same price range. I also recommend an SSD. Once you get one, you'll never be able to go back. And besides, in a few years, SSD's will be the go-to storage of choice and HDD's will become slowly extinct.

Your ram is good, but i recommend G.Skill ripjaw X series 1600mhz RAM…better performance, better heat spreader. Same price. Or Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz ram. They are comparable (the corsairs look cooler, but are a few bucks more expensive).

Last but not least, Win7. This is the cheapest place to buy it (75 bucks). They are legit, I get mine in 3 business days from ordering it, and you get an authentic product key. What else can you ask for?

Yeah, this one was from a while ago so he did already purchase his system. Though I don't think it's exactly what's in the list there as we talked him through different stuff on vent. These are good guidelines for people looking to upgrade their system though.

Too late, Sassy! =)

This machine is a beast compared to the piece of crap I had that died.

That is great to hear! I get mine on Tuesday, then i'll probably spend that day, maybe the next setting it up, then gaming alllll the way! XD

Nice!

Might change my power supply to a modular one and purchase another GTX 570 HD since they dropped drastically in price since I bought mine.

Oh I also bought a bunch of extra CM LED fans to install around the case. I got them about a month after I put the thing together, but been wayyyy too lazy to install them lol

That PSU I linked above would be just fine for SLI GTX 570's! It is also fully modular, plus I have a feeling that you like Corsair! :)

With an SLI Setup, I heard you may run into Micro-stuttering. Just putting that out there, I don't know much about it personally, didn't delve into it as I was not going to go SLI
