So with release right around the corner, I figured it might be good to start talking about a server for launch. There's a new site here that is listing guilds and their servers so we can work around that: http://www.gw2guilds.org/

Damn, Yak's Bend and Sorrow's Furnace have more than double the other servers already. With such a small list of servers I expect that they will all fill up though. Are we going to be looking for high, mid, or low pop at release? I like higher pop servers myself.

I like higher pop as well, but I swear I played most of the Beta Weekend in overflow servers.

Medium would be ideal, but I'd rather have low than high if I had the choice. With cross server for PvP, and server guesting, I don't see a real reason to want a high pop server aside from being in a huge zerg for WvW.

With the small amount of servers, I think they'll all be pretty well populated as that's their goal. But I think Crystal Desert, Sorrow's Furnace, and Yak's Bend will be the highest pop. I still say Gate of Madness just because it sounds awesome.

BTW are US and EU able to play on each others servers?

I don't think they are. Also, sPvP and WvW are separated by region as well.

Well I'm sold on the name Gate of Madness. I find it odd that Borelis Pass has no guilds signed up, I seem to remember it being pretty full BWE2

I think that site may have just gone up today, so there's still a lot of guilds that haven't signed up on there yet.
