Well it's like polls. It's not 100% accurate, but it gives you a general idea. While it isn't every single guild on the site, you can still tell which servers are going to be popular. Also it helps us avoid the zerg guilds.
all we can really do is make an educated guess, you never know how a community is going to evolve over the first few months, not to mention server density could change over the course of headstart. e.g. guilds planning to join a server but cant because it filled up during headstart…
Sea of Sorrows could be something to look at as well. Looking to be a medium pop server and the Unofficial Oceanic server. Which means we would have people fighting and taking stuff in WvW in the middle of the night when we're sleeping. And during the day there would be less people on for us to do what we want. Of course this is all in theory, it's possible there may be other guilds thinking the exact same thing. But it's something to think about.
you don't want people on to WvW with? I think it'd be more fun with other people around us. We don't necessarily have to follow the zerg when we go out there, we can do our own thing even if there are a lot of others.
The problem is actually getting IN to the WvW with all those people. If we want to play as a guild we will have to individually sit in a que for a WvW map and wait, hopefully getting in at some point.
Yeah unfortunately with a cap of 150 it will get filled up pretty fast. I'm hoping they increase the cap and I'm sure they will at least a little bit. But it still will probably be pretty low.
