Yeah that will be a pretty tight budget for everything. You'll also need the PSU and case I'm guessing.

Yeah I know its a tight budget but I am a college student after all… a friend of mine was telling me to go AMD since they can be had for less.

This is a build he showed me. Seemed pretty decent to me

That's just a general idea, some of the stuff could probably be swapped out for parts that are a little better.

It looks like that setup should get you around 9k on the benchmark.

Update - It was the PSU… got the new one installed and it worked perfectly. Im also happy that i got a modular one. Way easier to maintain the case clean.

Does anyone have any personal experience with a Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB Video Card? I can get one for around $230 which seems like a good deal.

Oh and dat case Proximo… the Corsair 400R looks awesome. Thanks for recommending it…it's totally my style lol. Now I just have to wait it out for a few good deals.

Yeah there was a combo deal on it before with one of the other parts I listed, I think the PSU. Looks like it ended though.

The 7950 should average about 10k in the benchmark, making it slightly better than the 660ti.
