This is already kind of addictive just watching it, can't really imagine what it will be like when actually playing it. Never really played Minecraft because I couldn't get past the graphics, but this seems good so far.
Well unless they start beta early like they did with alpha, we have like 2 months until beta. Also shelling out the money for alpha is supporting Landmark and Next so they can use more resources on making the games better. Also I think they said people in alpha would get a few days headstart at launch so you can get the best claims.
I didn't think I would be very interested in this, but I've been addicted to watching the streams since it started. I'm just having a hard time getting into Wildstar and ESO, I think maybe I'm just bored with the themepark model.
So I'll probably just pick this up and play it until EQ: Next comes out. The graphics and movement looks great, it makes me really excited to see what they're going to do with EQN.
Its a lot of fun.. the only problem right now is finding a claim. They're supposed to get a 3rd server up today, but not sure what time. If you want to start I would suggest maybe trying to get in today, if possible, before that third server is all taken up… there is literally NO WHERE to place a claim right now..
We asked Dave what the top priorities were from players and he was quick to share the list. Water was number one so the team is working on adding water regions into the game. I guess everyone wants a lakeside view. The next big feature they want to add is combat.
Right now players start with a lot of crafting tools and have some solid options to begin their projects, but it will be very interesting to see combat and monsters enter into the game. Might be a bit harder to track down those ideal copper veins with a monster blocking your way. The other priorty the team wants to add desperately is enhanced crafting which will give players loads of more options to build and design their areas.
