Anyone else plan on making any FF14 videos? I'm gonna be playing around with Fraps this weekend to see any tweaks i can make to the settings to optimize the resolution for ff14.
Is that free? And I'm not too worried about the hard drive issue as i have an external I record to. Which reminds me i need to install my second hard drive i have and dedicate it to videos.
I dug out my fraps last night and re downloaded it. Even watched some mc raids I recorded back in vanilla wow. Tried to test it out on d3 last night but my external kept freezing and my internal one would cause lag in game so guess I will have to wait for a new hard drive unless I can figure something else out. Never did use it much, had too small of a hard drive back 8 years ago when I bought it.
it works better if you can record to a secondary internal hard drive or even an external(as long as its SATA or USB 3.0). Otherwise you have to partition a spot onto your hard drive and even then it can cause lag. I was skeptical of the external hard drives since they use to be slower than a secondary dedicated internal, but i recently purchased an external usb 3.0 and used it to record some gw2 wvw videos. even with 100+ on the screen in some of the SM fights it was perfect. So you can always look into that if you have a usb 3.0 port on your motherboard. They are the blue ones.
