I haven't got too far yet, mainly been trying out the different classes, but seems pretty good. I heard it was a bit overwhelming when you first start, and they were right. There are a lot of different systems and stuff in play, definitely not your typical MMO. Game seems to run pretty well. The world is gorgeous in terms of looks, scope and immersion. Towns actually feel like towns as there are a lot of NPCs and stuff moving around and doing things.
There's a knowledge system in the game, so for example, the first time you fight a mob of a certain type, it's HP bar will look like it isn't going down. Because you've never fought the mob before, you don't have "knowledge" of it. So you have to kill it at least once. Once you kill it, you'll get a ranking of the amount of knowledge you get from it. The better the ranking, the better loot it will drop for you. Also questing has it's own knowledge system as well. You have to talk to different npcs and have conversions with them to gain knowledge of other people and the area and whatnot to unlock quests.
Quests themselves don't give a ton of exp and grinding mobs is a lot faster, but quests do give stuff like increased inventory and skills and stuff, so they are necessary to complete.
Combat feels pretty good, definitely a step up from standard tab target combat. You have different combos and stuff you can do. Attacks actually feel like they have weight to them, especially with Warrior. I guess shortly after launch with the first update they're going to be adding "awakening weapons" to every class, which is a different weapon type from their normal stuff and is supposed to change up the playstyle a bit. So for example, warrior will get a great sword, Sorc gets a scythe, etc.
Gonna play the beta a bit more before I decide to buy it or not, but so far it seems pretty solid. Definitely a lot of grinding in it though from what I hear.
