I was in the Closed Beta of Wildstar. What captured me most is the humor. I love a game with plenty of humor. However when I played I admit I found it sadly lacking in several areas. But this is my opinion and very bias. Its much like a mix of WoW of and GW2 aiming. To me it did stike me as very similar to WoW. Thats not bad, but it doesn't appeal to me as much.
If you'd like me to elaborate on the faults I thought/saw, please ask. Or perhaps you'd like to hear whats good?
Wildstar seems interesting and has a combat system similar to GW2. From what has been revealed, it will have a more substantial PVP with Arenas, Open World, and Warplots. The PVE also seems to be closer to GW2 Hearts, as a slider determines your progress in a quest, and killing a large boss provides more credit than a small soldier. Then there's housing with both interior and exterior customization. Dungeons for small groups and others for 40 man raids, they seem to be putting in a lot of variety. In giving many things for casual and end game. Speaking of end game, there's the Elder Game that keeps being hinted at. With more story, spendable points for character customization (talent trees and such) and more? Can you tell I'm interested yet? Wildstar is going to have things for everyone to do, from Fighting and Grouping to Housing and Crafting. Certainly worth keeping an eye on. Hopefully they come through solidly on everything they say there will be. Beta will hopefully give us an inkling of this.
