Crit crafted oranges are the best PvE gear. Not sure about PvP because they are essentially removing the diminishing returns on expertise. So if you have about 12% expertise now, it'd be up to around 15-16% in 1.2 which probably trumps having an extra augment slot. For PvE this means you will probably want synthweaving/arms to attempt to crit craft your own oranges (cheapeast way).
Also for PvE and PvP Champion/Rakata/Battlemaster level gear. They are finally *upgrading* the slots mods and enhancements inside them. If you have recently removed them to put in better mods, you can put in the old mods into your gear and they should *update* with patch 1.2 naturally. If you do not refit them in, you will not get the update.
For rakata gear, we should be doing new raids shortly and getting a higher level of gear so it shouldn't be that big of a deal.
BM pvp level gear will have no valor requirement and all pieces cost at MOST 1.2-1.3k WZ commendations.
We will do premade 8 man ques with 1.2 and I will post up threads and schedules for that like I do for raids and probably put one up on a nightly basis. My 1 requirement in order to sign up is that you have at least full champion/centurion level gear and make an earnest effort to get full BM quickly. I would rather field our best every night, but i want everyone to have a fair shot.
From what I understand, armoring/mods/enhancement all have a component of expertise on them which makes it transferrable.
If this is true - the best PvP gear is also Crit Crafted oranges. You'll want Ranked Warzone Gear and move those mods into the Ojs so you can have an extra augment slot in there as well.
Also, many classes are getting tweaked with skills in different trees being removed, moved, buffed, nerfed. So it's worth a look once 1.2 is out to mess around to find optimal builds in both PvP and PvE.
