It looks like we have a decent line-up of MMOs coming out this year. So which title are you looking forward to the most?

I think I'm getting to old for Mmo's or maybe they are getting mainstream. I haven't had that feeling since Eq1. So I'll probably try EQNext I would also like to try TESO. I'm not to excited for any of them though><

For me its a war between Wildstar and EQN. I've seen and played Wildstar, and it certainly has its perks. EQN however still remains shrouded in a mysterious fog. So until it reveals itself, I'll wait and watch. And maybe play them all. Those beta keys, delicious.

idc which one. I just want a real/traditional MMO again.

Tired of this single-player, queue-hub stuff.

FFXIV ARR has some awesome boss fights, but other than that there is really no true-MMO elements.

If any of these have an actual large, emmersive world… no/limited instant-travel. Actual time to level and achieve things, etc etc.

Then I will play them. Also… world-pvp. Please. Tired of BG/Arena only PvP games.

But I am not sure, have not even researched any of them. Just signed up for a wilstar beta this week, so maybe can get in before its closed.

You might want to check out Archeage then. Sounds a little more like what you're looking for as it's more of a sandbox game.

Open world PvP is a big part of that games end game apparently. You can gank people in the world, but when you do they leave blood spatters on the ground. Other players can use a kit or something to click on the blood spatters and report you.

If enough people report you then you get put on trial with a jury made up of actual players. If they find you guilty you're sent to jail. Once you're in jail you have to wait it out a certain amount of time to be released, or you can try to break out. I can't remember what happens if you break out, but I think you're branded an outlaw or something so you can't get quests from normal quest givers, only from the outlaw island.

You can also build your own ship and have ship battles against other players. You don't really have a set class, you're given a list of different skills you can choose from, of which you can choose 3 at a time. The 3 skills you choose will determine your class, and there's something like 120 different possible classes.

Pirate is the term they use and yes, you cant go into towns and such, only the pirate island.

I am going to stick with FFXIV: ARR until something really knocks me off my seat. I am going to keep an eye on that Tom Clancy game; it looks neat.
