Becoming a Member of ApeX
We are looking for active and dedicated players that want to contribute to the guild's success as much as your own. Being the smaller guild that we are means our members as individuals mean that much more to the overall success of the guild.
Anybody can join a huge zerg guild and be another face in the crowd. We choose to remain a smaller guild to provide a family-like atmosphere for our members. When you join ApeX you're not just joining a guild, you're joining a family.
We are looking for quality players. By quality we don't just mean how well you play the game, but your attitude as well. How you conduct yourself inside and outside the of the guild is just as important to us as how well you play the game.
To apply, follow these steps:
1. Read over our rules below and if you agree to them proceed to step 2.
2. Create an account on Guildwork
here.
3. Fill out an application
here. Please be as thorough as possible when filling out your application if you want us to consider you as a serious applicant.
4. Check back on your application frequently so that you may answer any questions we may have for you (will be posted on your application).
5. If you are accepted to the guild you will be sent an invite to the site. You must check your
notifications box and accept the invite to gain member access to the site.
Evaluation Period
After you submit an application, barring anything major, we will invite you to ApeX on a trial period. This will basically be a period for both parties to get to know each other and see if we're a good match. We understand choosing and committing to a guild is a big decision so this gives you the chance to see if we're the right guild for you before you fully commit. If you decide we're not, then you can opt out at any time with no hard feelings.
Rules of ApeX
When you become a member of ApeX you are agreeing to abide by the rules we have set for all of our members and failure to do so may result in your removal from the guild temporarily or maybe even permanently. The rules of ApeX are as follows:
i. Cheating/Exploiting
We have a zero tolerance policy in this area. Cheating, exploiting, hacking, etc. will not be tolerated whatsoever and any member found doing so may be permanently removed from the guild.
ii. Drama
We have a no drama policy here in ApeX. Doesn't matter what it is, it does not belong in the guild. Yes, people are bound to disagree from time to time. But we expect our members to work it out like the adults they are.
iii. Activity
You are expected to be active in-game, on the forums, and on our ventrilo server. We don't expect everybody to be on all day, every day. We understand that people have real life obligations, but we expect our members to at least check in and let us know what's going on.
We will be checking member activity regularly and people that have not been active within the guild for a long period of time may be removed from the guild.
iv. Conducting yourself inside the guild
How you conduct yourself towards your fellow guild members is very important to us. You are expected to treat your fellow guild members with complete respect. Any racist, homophobic, or just generally hateful comments will not be tolerated whatsoever and could lead toward your permanent removal from the guild.
There will also be no elitism shown towards your fellow members. Everybody has different playstyles and nobody should feel uncomfortable playing how they want to play. That being said, if you are grouping with fellow ApeX members you should be open to suggestions if it's for the better of the group or the guild.
v. Conducting yourself outside of the guild
This is also an important area for us. When you wear the ApeX tags, you're representing ApeX as a whole. You should not say or do things that could reflect poorly on the guild, let alone yourself.
While you're a member of ApeX you are expected to conduct yourself in a mature manner whether it be in-game or on public forums. This includes trolling, racial slurs, homophobic comments, and things of that nature. Though if somebody is trash talking you or the guild, we are definitely not opposed to you standing up for yourself.
vi. Voice Chat
Ventrilo is our VoIP of choice and you will be required to, at the very least, have it installed and be on during guild group related events. If you don't already have Ventrilo installed, you can download the client
You must be logged into Guildwork in order to apply and/or view your application status.
